I have exactly 10 days left before I fly to Addis and become a 'faranj' (foreigner) in Ethiopia ... and panic has set in!!
This blog will give you the chance to keep an eye on my adventures and, more importantly, what your donations are doing to help the children of Addis Ababa.

- In July 28th 2008, I left behind a perfectly good job, flat and life (!) and moved to Ethiopia for ... well, for a variety of different reasons, some selfish, some not. I spent 15 months there, based in Addis and in Lalibela, and this blog was started to chart my ups and downs and the work Hanna's Orphanage and LEAP do there. I no longer live in Ethiopia, but I still visit two or three times a year and continue to work on my charity, Hanna's Orphanage, as well as with others, including LEAP and Football Action.
